so refining is needed but after 14 hours of rendering to see that stupid tree floating- well mars is just gonna have to have a floating tree here and there. 

alright so the point – looking at mars on this grass level, tree level scale – fern gully style.  and sigur ros, you gotta love those icelandic martian freaks for their mars-ish mood music.  kind of mystical kind of trendy on a eclipsing evening.

brad – your class is fun. 

i had to write this down, erm, whatever, type it.  i want to meet this woman.  she comes across as this awesome land steward with the mouth of a sailor.  right on.  she is out there paving the way for the focus i wish landscape architecture had more of with the skills i wish i had a lot more of.  she’s straight up artist.  sculpture undergrad degree – gsd – worked with martha, peter, van valkenburgh.  she loves brownfields and kicks ass in turning them around but in the way i like.  she works with what’s on the site to inspire her design – and yes, she did a mine revitalization project.  expose the culture, history, show the beauty in the derelict bc it really is a lot prettier than an overdesigned manicured landscape.  avoid the govt bc they’re slow and cant get their shit together.  she gets it and she sounds like she gets just as worked up and excited about letting people know about it.  and she’s not intimidated when she doesnt know the science.  and and and…i know, i get excited.
