The Grailler
for project 2 i decided to use the part of the novel where nadia is admiring the greenhouse and the new soil needed for the new plants they are growing on mars. my object/machine is a rock tiller and crusher inspired by my cheese grater from my studio project and the book.
its form – rather primitive. i’m not a fan of sci-fi or video games, unless its pac-man, guitar hero and the star wars movie with the ewoks…i think it might be empire strikes back. so its not high tech looking, but its definitely ready to tear some stuff up. its powered by solar radiation – there’s also backup power…humans like to take advantage of what’s around – and on mars, little fuzzy creatures similar to hamsters are roaming around. these guys are used to get the ball rolling. and they dont know any better anyway – they like the exercise.
