this project has definitely been the most difficult for me so far. i read the passages in red mars and didnt really feel inspired with an idea up front. to me mars has always been barren and nothing i read lent itself to the possibility otherwise. so i stuck with the tundra scheme. thought about it changing over time and as water slowly became available and a marsh environment did begin emerging. which brings me of all places to texas. sparse grasslands with a shrub here or tree there, but generally flat and open.
